We’re throwing a party!

Join Éireann and I and Bia! Zine for a celebration of migrant food cultures! On Friday 29th of July we’re hosting a free scanning social event at Aras Na nGael, Galway with food by Melting Pot Luck and music from DJ Kimby.

We’re inviting you to bring along a food memory and a photograph to scan and share as part of the zine and digital archive. We are interested in your photographs centred around food and celebration, whether from a childhood birthday party, a family wedding, or your first time in the kitchen baking with your siblings. Your submissions will help to keep alive the history of migrant social life and culture in Ireland throughout the years. Although this event centres migrant stories, all are invited to celebrate with us!

This event is supported by a residency at Galway Arts Centre and Project funding from Louth County Council. Come scan your photos and dance!
